Why we’re doing this
Given that internship experiences enhance employability, it’s imperative we continue to extend career pathways by supporting early career professionals, especially those who remain underserved and overlooked.
How we started
COVID-19, by and large, defined our experiences in 2020 — from how we interacted with others to the ways we navigated economic and political systems. Within that, we observed that many tech companies struggled to weather the financial impact of COVID-19, which subsequently resulted in the rescindment of many product development internships. As such, our initial program offering in 2020 was a fully paid, 12-week alternative internship for a cohort of 1 product manager, 1 product designer and 1 software engineer. The interns built critical pieces of functionality for our lead client, Cafecito.
