Have a COVID-related project our fellows can help with? Get in touch.
Be part of something bigger.
As a mentor, you’ll work directly with our fellows. You’ll listen, guide, and offer feedback over the course of this 11 week program.

How the program works

The Moringa Fellowship will span 11 weeks, beginning on July 6, 2020. Mentors will work directly with a Product Management, Product Design, or Software Engineering fellow, who will work with their cohort to address the health, social, and economic consequences caused by COVID-19 through a digital product solution.

All mentors will be expected to commit up to 10 hours each week, though you'll likely spend less time than that week-over-week. Additionally, schedules will be flexible and agreed upon with all fellows and mentors during the first week.

Frequently asked questions

What does mentoring entail?
As a mentor, you'll work directly with your respective fellow, as they work with their cohort to address a COVID-related problem through a digital product solution.

You'll spend your time getting to know your fellow and establishing rapport; providing technical guidance and giving feedback; and facilitating the project and holding the cohort accountable for their work.

You'll be expected to commit up to 10 hours each week.
Will I be compensated?
Unfortunately, this is a volunteer-run organization. As such, mentors will also be volunteers.
I can’t meet the time commitment. How else can I get involved?
We're planning to host lighter-touch, mentorship opportunities throughout the program, including coffee chats and panels. If you're interested in participating, please fill out this form.
